Fraa Erasmas

First Appearance and Context

Fraa Erasmas is an avout within the Decenarian Math at the Concent of Saunt Edhar. Around a decennial Apert, he is seen assisting Fraa Orolo in supervised conversations and observing the water‑powered opening of the gates and related rites.

Roles/Actions and Affiliations

• Serves as amanuensis to Fraa Orolo in the New Library and takes part in lessons and practical duties under the Discipline.
• Works on the clock‑winding team during Provener.
• During Apert he goes extramuros with Fraa Jesry, revisits his old neighborhood, and brings a sib from outside to view the clockworks and starhenge from within the Præsidium.
• Encounters the Ita both at a machine hall extramuros and within the Mynster precincts, maintaining the customary distance observed between avout and Ita.
• Present when peers return injured from an attack outside the walls and helps see them through Provener while questions are taken by a warden.

Known to peers by the nickname “Raz,” and formerly called “Vit” in his birth family. Conscientious, observant, and practical; physically capable from winding duty. Comfortable explaining mathic customs (such as portcullis access, labyrinth usage, and device limits) to outsiders while upholding Discipline.

Current Status/Location

Active among the Tenners in the Decenarian community at the Concent of Saunt Edhar. During the present Apert he has gone outside the walls, reconnected with family, and returned to duties inside, with an agreement to meet his sib again later in the week.
