Edharian Order

First Appearance and Context

Avout speak of choosing or "joining the Edharians" as a formal order choice. At this concent the crag‑dwelling Thousanders are all identified as members of the Edharian Order; locally, some speakers also use "Edharians" informally for an active theorics circle in the Decenarian community.

Roles/Actions and Affiliations

  • After the Reconstitution, early members of the order came to the river bend and undertook major praxic works: clearing a ramp of weak rock with explosives and water‑jet cutters, moving spoil to the perimeter to fashion the walls of the Concent of Saunt Edhar, and quarrying sound stone from the crag in slabs and prisms.
  • The first Thousanders cut a narrow, meandering stair up the crag, moved onto its summit, and built their own walls and towers there; for centuries afterward the valley below remained a rubble field from these works.
  • The avout later carved elements of the Mynster from the strewn boulders; a few remain in the meadow as decoration and as stock for stonecutters who still refine gargoyles and finials.
  • At this site, the Thousanders are affiliated with the order, and traditional lineage statements link the order’s thought to Saunt Halikaarn.
