Unarian Math

First Appearance and Context

The Unarian Math is named alongside neighboring communities when the concent’s far‑bank bastions and their gateworks are described during Apert. It is referenced by its cupola at the Praesidium stair, seen with its gridiron closed in concert with other maths during a controlled access moment. The same waterworks that charge the mechanisms also form part of the barrier between the Unarian side and the Decenarian Math.

Roles/Actions and Affiliations

• Entry community and one‑year vow: Serves as an initial home for new Avout who commit to a one‑year stay; it also receives tour groups during Apert. Few of these residents continue on to the Decenarian cohort.
• Rare early advancement: Exceptional “One‑off” cases may pass early through a connecting labyrinth to the Decenarian side.
• Gate association: Linked to the Year Gate, also called the Unarian Gate.
• Part of the Concent of Saunt Edhar, participating in shared rites and openings.

Active within the concent. During Apert it receives visitors and one‑year entrants; between openings it functions as a self‑contained math under Discipline, with movement to the Decenarian community occurring at the appropriate times.
