Suur Tulia

Suur Tulia is a young suur of the avout community, active among the Tenners in the Decenarian precinct. She is first seen in everyday work alongside peers and is later shown quietly looking out for others during the days of Apert.

First Appearance and Context

Tulia is first observed outside the Refectory kitchen, sitting with Suur Ala cutting old tires into sandals in the shaded work area by the herb garden, while Fraa Erasmas passes nearby. This occurs in the lead‑up to Apert.

Roles/Actions and Affiliations

• A suur in the Decenarian Math; participates in communal chores such as sandal‑making.
• During Apert, she checks on Fraa Arsibalt from time to time and asks Fraa Erasmas to go and see him.
• In instruction settings she has been addressed as “Fid Tulia” and demonstrates quick, precise answers during group reviews.

Descriptions/Characteristics

• Origin: As a foundling she was discovered at the Day Gate and, being sickly at first, was kept in the nearby Unarian Math before advancing through the labyrinth to her current cohort. She has no known family outside the walls.
• Demeanor: Deft, organized, and quietly attentive to others; she is wryly bemused by peers’ family entanglements during the opening.
