Suur Trestanas

First Appearance and Context

Suur Trestanas is first observed enforcing Discipline inside the cloistered precincts when she assigns hand‑weeding as penance to Fraa Lio after a missed turn on the clock‑winding team at Provener. She is also seen among the hierarchs during services in the Mynster, seated at the Regulant’s place. Later, during an evening near the opening, she appears at the starhenge cupola with the Master of the Keys and, after portcullises at multiple cupolas are drawn shut, she has a prepared private exchange with a senior theorician while the Master of the Keys escorts a Tenner away—suggesting an exceptional matter rather than routine penance.

Roles/Actions and Affiliations

• As the Warden Regulant, Trestanas enforces the Discipline within the math, oversees conduct around visitors and devices, and assigns penances when duties are neglected.
• On appointment she moved into the Primate's Compound and takes meals with the hierarchs.
• Affiliation: Order of the New Circle. Within the order she is regarded as a central figure whose views are relayed among peers; some Tenners worry that perceptions of alignment might affect prospects at Eliger.
• During the public feast of Apert in the meadow, after a brief skirmish involving four visitors, she argued for “throwing the Book” at Lio; Fraa Delrakhones considered the lapse overlookable. She warned that brawling during Apert while on welcoming duty could merit severe sanction or even being Thrown Back.
• In the same sequence, she confronted a young fraa about private, unsanctioned conversations with visiting Inquisitors; after a tense exchange, she assigned “Chapters One through Five” from the Book as immediate penance and ordered him straight to the Mynster to begin.
