Millenarian Math

First Appearance and Context

Set high on its own crag at the Concent of Saunt Edhar, the Millenarian Math is the home community of the Thousanders. From the Mynster and the surrounding grounds it is plainly seen to the east, standing apart yet connected by a covered stair that descends to the hall’s southeast corner.

Relationships and Affiliations

• Community: Residence and gathering place of the Thousanders within the concent.
• Physical links: Joined to the Mynster by a long, walled, hand‑carved stair; associated with the Millenarian Gate situated above the main complex.

Important Actions and Events

• Red‑light tracing from above: One evening the math glowed with a grainy, ruby‑colored light falling from overhead. The Thousanders created smoke and steam so that a narrow red beam could be seen striking the roofs and parapets, enabling observers below to trace its direction to a fast‑moving red point high in the sky.
• Voco and farewell: During a nighttime Voco in the Mynster, a Millenarian elder (Fraa Jad) was among those named. The cohort answered with a powerful, resonant farewell before he joined the Evoked in departing.

Descriptions and Characteristics

• Placement: A compact, towered complex perched on a distinct crag east of the central hall.
• Approach: A dedicated, covered stair—described as fantastically hand‑carved—winds down the face of the crag to the hall’s southeast corner.
• Screened presence: In the Mynster the Millenarians have their own screened portal onto the chancel; their voices are noted for deep bass when the community sings.

Current Status

Active and inhabited. The math remains linked to the Mynster by its covered stair and was recently the focus of a conspicuous red illumination from above; the glow and beam tracing ended after a short interval.
