Decenarian Math

First Appearance and Context

The Decenarian Math is a walled precinct within the Concent of Saunt Edhar, home to the Decenarians (Tenners) at this concent. Community life here centers on work and rites in the Mynster, with the great clock and its mechanisms providing the daily rhythm.

Organization and Affiliations

• Residents belong to the Tenner cohort and are organized locally as the Edharian chapter; in informal speech the community is called the “Decenarian family.”
• Movement and contact with the outside world are regulated by the Discipline and by gateworks coordinated from the Mynster.

• Avout from this precinct take on scheduled duties related to the clock, bells, and formal observances in the Mynster.
• The math participates in community rites and maintains controlled exchange with the extramuros world during designated openings.

Recent Developments

• After a widely discussed Voco, knowledge about a high‑flying craft spread through the community; late‑night chalk‑hall sessions among Tenners worked through praxic and theoric questions raised by it.
• In a later service of Voco, numerous members of the Decenarian cohort were named to depart. Those Evoked were issued extramuros clothing and supplies, instructed to travel unobtrusively in small groups, and directed to make their way to the Concent of Saunt Tredegarh; local civic groups were organizing transport to assist.

Current Status

Active within the concent. The Decenarian Math continues its clock and bell work and participates in rites in the Mynster; following the later Voco, many Tenner members left under formal summons while remaining residents maintained ordinary duties.
