Ganelial Crade

Overview

Ganelial Crade is an extramuros driver from the Deolater community at Samble who joins a small group of avout detouring to Bly’s Butte. He presents as a member of the local Deolaters and is comfortable conversing in Orth, which he speaks in a rough accent.

Appearance and Traits

• Slender, clean‑shaven, and easily taken for younger than his fourth decade.
• Self‑assured about routes and practical matters; willing to take the lead.
• Speaks Orth well enough to converse directly with avout, despite a heavy accent.

Roles and Actions

• Parks his open‑back fetch behind Samble’s ark during a noisy service; at one point the vehicle blocks the start of the steep road that spirals up the butte.
• Drives the road between the village and the summit, and later carries a small party—including Fraa Jad—down from the butte. When asked in Orth to wait, he agrees and holds position.
• Previously asserted that he knew the way toward the butte and traveled ahead of others, reinforcing his role as a route‑finder and driver.

Relationships

• Works cooperatively with avout travelers, notably Fraa Erasmas and Fraa Jad, providing transport and responding to requests made in Orth.
• Social/religious setting: seen among the townspeople inside Samble’s counter‑Bazian ark during worship, consistent with local Deolater practice.

Current Status

Present with his fetch in and around Samble, participating in the ark gathering and picnic and helping convey travelers between the village and the heights of Bly’s Butte.
