First Appearance and Context

At the Concent of Saunt Edhar, Ala is first seen working alongside Tulia on practical chores near the Refectory. Among the Tenners she quickly emerges as a capable organizer on bell teams and during crowded moments around the Mynster.

Affiliations and Relationships

• Member of the Order of the New Circle (chosen at Eliger).
• Close working partner with Tulia; they often collaborate in chores, bell work, and quiet study.
• Connected to Fraa Erasmas: they collaborated on a pinhole observation and agreed to declare an Etrevanean liaison; this was not entered before later events.

Important Actions

• Bell work and mentoring: assembles and rehearses ringers; spends time in the Mynster’s lower works maintaining mechanisms and practicing unfamiliar changes; passes techniques to younger girls.
• Discreet pinhole observation: with Tulia, darkened a maintenance room beneath the carillon to project the sun safely. Together with Erasmas, marked brief blue‑white “sparks” on the projected disk for later analysis.
• Evocation: during Voco her name was called and she departed under the authority of the Sæcular Power.

Descriptions and Characteristics

Forthright, brisk, and decisive. Small and bony with a round head, large eyes, a delicate sharp nose, and a wide mouth; she keeps her hair cropped short. Her manner shifts easily from command to collaboration when a practical path is clear.

Current Status/Location

Evoked during Voco and departed Saunt Edhar; subsequent whereabouts have not been seen from within the community. During the current Convox period, Tulia travels directly to Saunt Tredegarh intending to find Ala; this is presented as intent and should not be treated as confirmation of Ala’s presence there.
