Overview

A Decenarian avout from the Concent of Saunt Edhar, Evoked under Voco, he assumes practical leadership within a Peregrin cohort. He directs a detour to Bly's Butte to look for Fraa Orolo before continuing toward the Concent of Saunt Tredegarh. Upon reaching the village of Samble and ascending the butte with companions, he finds Orolo’s simple cell and notes; guided by Fraa Jad, he helps secure and burn the notes and learns that Orolo has gone north. While traveling extramuros he is often addressed by the familiar name "Raz," especially by Cord, and he characterizes himself as "technically a Feral" for choosing the detour.

Appearance and Traits

Erasmas is conscientious and pragmatic, quick to organize travel and keep companions safe. He balances respect for the Discipline with extramuros realities and is comfortable working in multiple tongues. He shows curiosity and quick uptake in theorics discussions, while deferring to elders when evidence calls for it. He also presents as reflective and self‑aware, sometimes revising personal letters multiple times, and shows a practical turn when equipping a journey.

• Securing Orolo’s materials: After Estemard arrives (briefly disarmed by Lio), Erasmas supports a cautious response. At Jad’s direction he helps remove Orolo’s leaves and burn them in the brazier; he retains several phototypes depicting a large man‑made excavation for later review.
• Theoric dialogue en route: During the climb he engages with Fraa Criscan’s calca on “Complex Protism,” reflecting on his namesake Erasmas at Saunt Baritoe and the idea of information flowing among multiple cosmi.
• Direction to go north: After descending, Jad privately instructs him to go north to find Orolo. Erasmas agrees, despite concern about Discipline penalties, trusting that Jad will advocate on his behalf at the gathering.
• Northbound logistics: purchases fuel, food, warm clothing, tents, and other gear for the mountain drive using his money card and funds available via Fraa Jad’s card.
