Overview

The Sæcular Power is the outside authority that governs the worldly realm beyond mathic walls. Within the maths its formal communications are treated as legitimate and binding when delivered through established rites (notably Voco). In the current situation it has designated the Concent of Saunt Tredegarh as the receiving site for a mass assembly (a Convox) of Evoked avout, following calls that included departures from the Concent of Saunt Edhar.

Purpose and Structure

• Non‑mathic governance: Recognized by avout as the worldly authority in the Sæculum. Its internal composition is not described, but within maths its orders, when properly conveyed, are respected while remaining outside the Discipline.

• Civic works and cycles: As observed along the Evoked travelers’ route, farmlands in the region have historically been irrigated “from age to age” under Sæcular auspices; the same lands can fall into disrepair when such efforts wane (evident in deteriorated roads and fouled ditches).
