Edharian Order

Overview

The Edharian Order is a mathic order named for Saunt Edhar. At the Concent of Saunt Edhar, the crag-dwelling Thousanders are locally identified with the order. The tradition is associated with large-scale praxic works on the crag and within the Mynster, and “Edharians” can also be used informally to denote the active theorics circle at this concent.

Purpose and Structure

  • Mother-house and chapters: The order looks to the Concent of Saunt Edhar as its mother site; local usage recognizes Edharian chapters attached to both Decenarian and Centenarian maths at that concent.
  • Identity in use: In conversation, “Edharian” functions alongside other labels (such as one’s math cohort or work team), and speakers shift among these identities according to context.
  • Field spinoffs: Sources describe a spinoff math founded from the Concent to excavate the Temple of Orithena on Ecba, with personnel contributed by Edharian maths in other places.

Practices

  • Founding and praxic works: After the Reconstitution, Edharians are credited with large projects at their site—shaping the crag, quarrying sound stone for perimeter walls, and carving elements later set into the hall.
  • Collaboration and theorics: The order is observed organizing chalk-hall collaboration on practical and theoric problems.
  • Long-term excavation at Orithena (Ecba): A field math identified with the order has been excavating the Temple of Orithena on Ecba. In current accounts the project is said to have begun in A.R. 3000, described as a spinoff of Saunt Edhar with avout contributed by other Edharian maths; from overhead imagery, heavy machinery is not evident and the work appears to be sustained by small crews.

Known Members/Associations

  • Cohort alignment: At this concent the Thousanders on the crag are identified with the Edharian Order.
  • Mother-site: The order’s life is centered on the Concent of Saunt Edhar.

Recent Activity

  • Response to a sky-borne visitor: Edharian avout collaborated on praxic and theoric questions (e.g., propulsion and orbital geometry). One evening a narrow red beam fell on the Millenarian crag; smoke and steam raised there made its path visible, letting observers trace it to a moving point of light overhead.
  • Departures under Voco: In a mass calling, multiple avout, including Edharians, were Evoked and instructed to travel discreetly in small groups toward a Concent of Saunt Tredegarh convocation.
Summary:

A mathic order named for Saunt Edhar, locally identified with the Concent of Saunt Edhar’s Thousanders and associated with large praxic works. Edharians also founded a field math on Ecba to excavate the Temple of Orithena; more recently, members organized theoric work concerning an orbital visitor and were Evoked toward a Convox at the Concent of Saunt Tredegarh.
