Fraa Arsibalt

Fraa Arsibalt is a Tenner-level avout within a Decenarian math at the Concent of Saunt Edhar. A peer of Fraa Erasmas, he is part of the four-person team that winds the great clock during Provener in the Mynster, working alongside Fraa Jesry and Fraa Lio.

First Appearance and Context

Arsibalt is seen among the Tenners preparing for the aut of Provener in the Mynster. Near the wardrobe in the southwest corner, he and Fraa Jesry are already robed in scarlet while Fraa Lio searches through the garments. When the service begins, Arsibalt takes one of the four poles at the capstan-like hub in the chancel, helping to start and sustain the winding of the meteorite weight that drives the clockwork.

• Participates directly in the clock-winding during Provener by pushing one of the hub’s poles.
• During preparations for the rite he is already swathed in scarlet and appears impatient with delays in the wardrobe area.
