Suur Asquin

Suur Asquin is the current Heritor of Avrachon's Dowment, effectively its owner in all but name. She resides at the house and serves as host for the Plurality of Worlds messal held there during the ongoing Convox.

First appearance and context

• Introduced at Avrachon’s Dowment as the host of the first Plurality of Worlds messal, she personally helped with preparations in the kitchen, working alongside her assigned servitor, Suur Tris.
• In conversation with a Sæcular guest addressed as “Madame Secretary,” she described the Dowment as a kind of museum of scientific instruments, implying that showing its collection can demonstrate the value of pure metatheorics to skeptics.

Role and actions

• Chairs and moderates the Plurality of Worlds messal, guiding etiquette (others follow her lead to begin eating) and keeping discussion on theme.
• Presses participants to connect their arguments to the messal’s purpose, asks clarifying questions, and recapitulates key points for the table.
• Summarizes a working understanding that the four Geometer groups appear to come from worldtracks with slightly different physical constants rather than using newmatter themselves, based on fresh results reported at the table.
• Acts as a social facilitator, smoothing tensions and noting practical distinctions between work done quietly in Lucub and results shared out of Laboratorium.
• Proposes that the Hylaean Theoric World be taken up in a later messal.
