Order of Saunt Proc

The Order of Saunt Proc is a Procian order within the mathic world, named for Saunt Proc. Members and sympathizers are commonly referred to as “Procians” in current discourse.

First appearance and context

The order is first noted when a senior member introduces himself as “First Among Equals of the Centenarian Chapter of the Order of Saunt Proc at Muncoster” during a Plenary held in the Unarian nave at the Concent of Saunt Tredegarh, part of the ongoing Convox. In that session he serves as loctor (interlocutor) to an eyewitness called to speak.

Structure and standing

  • Chapters: A Centenarian Chapter is explicitly attested at the Concent of Saunt Muncoster. The title “First Among Equals” (FAE) is used for the leading role in that chapter.
  • Alignment: The Order is identified with the Procian side of a long‑running divide in mathic interpretation that is often contrasted—by speakers at the same assembly—with Halikaarnians.

Role in current events

  • Representation at Tredegarh: At the Convox hosted by Saunt Tredegarh, a Procian FAE from Muncoster acts as loctor in a large Plenary, questioning an eyewitness about the Visitation at Orithena. His line of questioning—presented as his own view—proposes that a certain avout may have signaled the visitors by means of an analemma; others dispute this and call for evidence. These claims are attributed to the speaker and not stated as an official stance of the Order.
  • Participation: Procians are numerous and vocal in the nave during the Plenary, reacting to arguments and shaping the tone of debate.

Current status

Active. The Order has at least one chapter at Muncoster and a visible presence at the Convox in Tredegarh through senior representation and debate in Plenary.
