Concent of Saunt Rambalf

Overview

The Concent of Saunt Rambalf is a Concent (walled mathic community) named for Saunt Rambalf. In current discourse it is grouped with the Concent of Saunt Edhar and the Concent of Saunt Tredegarh as one of the “Three Inviolates” (unbreached Thousanders during the Third Sack). According to testimony from a Thousander (millennial‑cycle cohort) of Edhar, Rambalf is one of three sites used by the Sæcular Power (civil authority) to store nuclear waste around the time of the Reconstitution (post‑Sacks re‑founding).

Notable Features

• A tall stone spire recognizable from a distance. An elder avout identified it—by prior drawings—as the "Millenarians' spire," a detail offered as recognition rather than a surveyed description.
• Sited atop an elevated mass of igneous rock several miles wide; this topography makes it prominent at a distance during overland travel.

• A cosmographer (astronomy scholar) at Rambalf exposed a photomnemonic tablet (light‑recording slate) to that beam, enabling an exact wavelength measurement. Reports at Tredegarh note that the measured wavelength does not match any natural spectral lines and has been cited as consistent with engineered Newmatter and equipment associated with the Geometers.
