Orhan

Orhan is revealed as an off‑world operative from Urnud—linked by locals to the visitor group nicknamed Pangee. He is embedded at Avrachon’s Dowment in the guise of a cloaked servitor and attends the delegate commonly called Zh’vaern.

Role and Relationships

  • Minder: Identified by the delegate later named Jules Verne Durand as his watcher (minder). Durand states that Orhan is of Urnud.
  • Cover and customs: While in disguise, Orhan follows the manner of cloistered theists, keeping his head fully covered and using a brief hand sign recognized by onlookers as Deolater‑style.

Actions and Notable Events

  • Kitchen service: Works the messal kitchen and is seen tending a separate stew for his delegate.
  • Exposure and containment: During a planned interruption that cut the sound feed and placed the room under a grounded mesh, Orhan was lured out to the pantry, confined in a separate shielded space, and relieved of a concealed wireless transmitter. Inside the messal, Durand removed his own cloak and named his world and mission, identifying Orhan’s role.

Traits and Presentation

  • Quiet and observant while on duty; speaks little in public settings when cloaked.
  • Earlier answers a theistic question in the kitchen in a manner consistent with his cover.

Current Status

Detained in a shielded enclosure in the pantry at Avrachon’s Dowment, separated from the messal, after his transmitter was discovered. Further disposition is not yet described.
