Centenarian Math

First Appearance and Context

Centenarian Math is referenced as the neighboring community across a meadow from a Decenarian enclave within the same concent. A sixteen‑foot stone wall divides the meadow that buffers the two maths; the Centenarians (also called Hundreders) use their side for raising livestock. On days when avout make their way to the Mynster, the Centenarians can reach their reserved entrance by strolling across their half of the meadow.

Structure and Features

  • Situated adjacent to a meadow that serves as open ground between it and the nearby Decenarian Math, with a tall stone wall marking the boundary.
  • Has direct approach to the south nave of the Mynster, which is set aside for the Centenarians; the space is noted as generously sized relative to their numbers.
  • The Centenarians’ side of the meadow is used for livestock, indicating a more agrarian use of nearby grounds compared to their neighbors’ former haymow and garden tangles.

Relationships and Functions

  • One of the maths within the broader mathic community of the concent, serving as the home and gathering place for the Centenarians/Hundreders.
  • Shares the central Mynster with other maths; by long‑standing arrangement, the south nave is reserved for Centenarian use, while neighboring groups occupy other naves.
  • Stands in close proximity to the Decenarian Math, with whom it shares the meadow buffer and wall.

Current Status

Active and occupied. The Centenarians use their meadow side for livestock and retain access to the south nave of the Mynster via a short walk across their grounds.
