Orb 7

Orb 7 is one of the sixteen rotating living spheres of the Orbstack at the heart of the starship Daban Urnud. It is assigned to the Troäns and sits within the Troän stack of four orbs (numbered 5 through 8).

Identification and placement

• The orbs are marked externally with large numerals; by convention the Troän stack comprises Orbs 5–8, with the lower-numbered orb in each stack hosting higher-ranking members of that people. Orb 7 is a mid‑stack Troän habitation sphere.
• From the interior of the ship, Orb 7 is one of the spheres that can be seen rotating past the Core; it was noted in close company with Orb 6 during an approach through the icosahedron’s interior framework.

Structure and connections (as observed)

• Like the other living spheres, Orb 7 is linked to the Core by a tubular passage sealed by a large ball valve that can be opened to permit traffic or closed to isolate the orb.
• Within the Orbstack, the rotating environment provides pseudogravity; water, boats, and agriculture are common features of life in the inhabited spheres.

Status

• Active Troän habitation within the Orbstack. Specific occupants and institutions have not been identified so far.
