Millenarian Maths

Not to be confused with Millenarian Math.

Millenarian maths are the precincts allocated to the long‑cycle Thousanders at various mathic concents. An example is the crag‑top Millenarian Math at the Concent of Saunt Edhar. In Saecular lore the Thousanders are sometimes called the Incanters, though within the maths this is regarded as an outsider trope.

Context and Recent Activity

The term came into focus during shipboard discussions aboard the Daban Urnud, when observers noted that “all of the Millenarian maths had been emptied out” following a broad dispersal into the Antiswarm. This was remarked upon as outside powers initiated talks involving the Pedestal and the Fulcrum alongside mathic and sæcular leadership.

Characteristics and Associations

  • Home precincts for the Thousanders at multiple concents; locally they may be perched or otherwise set apart from main complexes (as at Edhar).
  • Historically, the Thousander maths at Edhar, Rambalf, and Tredegarh are known collectively as the Three Inviolates.

Status

  • Reported empty after the move into the Antiswarm; the disposition of their usual occupants is distributed across assigned cells and supporting networks. Current occupancy varies by site and has not been detailed.
Summary:

A collective term for the Thousander precincts at mathic concents. Recently, observers noted that these sites had been emptied as the Thousanders dispersed into the Antiswarm, prompting concern among outside powers.
