Quators

Quators is an informal label used for one of the four groups within the visiting Geometers now in orbit around Arbre. The name derives from planetary iconography shown on the visitors’ craft and on sample vials, where “Quator” depicts a world whose landmasses lie predominantly at low latitudes. The label is provisional and used for convenience in ongoing discussions.

Characteristics and Origin

Reports from current analyses indicate that the visitors’ recovered tissues and materials are not newmatter but are composed of nuclei incompatible with Arbre’s matter. Four distinct kinds have been identified, corresponding to the four groups; Quators denotes one of these. Participants relate this to the idea of distinct worldtracks in Hemn space, suggesting the Quators group originates from a cosmos—with slightly different physical constants—separate from Arbre’s.

Status

No specific actions have been attributed uniquely to Quators; the name identifies a constituency within the larger Geometer presence. The designation and its implications may change as further information is learned.

Summary:

A provisional name for one of the four Geometer groups visiting Arbre, associated by imagery with a planet whose landmasses lie mostly at low latitude. Current analyses distinguish the group by a matter-type incompatible with Arbre’s and not identified as newmatter.
