Fraa Lio

Fraa Lio is an avout within a Decenarian math and a peer of Fraa Erasmas. He is seen working and socializing with Fraa Jesry and other fids in communal spaces such as the Refectory and kitchen. Earlier accounts place him on the clock‑winding team at the hour of Provener.

Role and function

Lio is solidly built and sometimes called "Thistlehead." His duties include helping wind the great clock during Provener, pushing one of the winding poles alongside teammates, and taking on practical chores around the concent. He is known for habitually correcting others’ posture with a light shove, a habit he attributes to Vale-lore. Following a missed winding and a later meadow‑fire mishap alongside Jesry, he received penances assigned by the Warden Regulant.

During a tightly packed lesson in Saunt Grod's chalk hall on the iconographies held by Saeculars, led by Grandsuur Tamura, Lio volunteered two succinct observations: he contrasted the predictability of orderly proceedings with the dangers of mob actions when assessing risk, and he noted that the Yorr tales were later adapted from illustrated books into moving pictures. His contributions were acknowledged as unexpectedly cogent.
