Unarian Math

Unarian Math is the mathic community associated with the Unarians. In the lead-up to Apert, it is described as the starting point for many new avout: most spend at least a year under its Discipline before graduating to the Tenner cohort, though exceptional One-offs may pass early via a labyrinth that connects it to the Decenarian Math.

First appearance and context

During preparations inside the concent for an impending Apert, Unarian Math is mentioned in connection with how new people enter and advance within the mathic world. A portion of the current Tenner cohort had first joined the Unarian community and remained under its Discipline before later moving on.

Role and function

  • Serves as an initial or feeder community for newcomers who later become Tenners.
  • Maintains its own Discipline; a typical path involves at least a year before advancement.
  • Provides an accelerated route for exceptional cases who may pass through a labyrinth linking it directly to the Decenarian community.

Relationships and references

  • Institutionally tied to the Unarians as its resident community.
  • Functionally linked to the Decenarian Math via a connecting labyrinth and by the flow of graduates who join the Tenners.
  • Timed references to Apert note that some of those entering the Tenner cohort will be graduating from the Unarian Math during that observance.

Current status

Active during the present preparations for Apert, with some number of members expected to graduate into the Tenner cohort. Specific counts, leadership, and internal layout have not yet been described in the text.
